Rohit Sharma reveals his inner self to the media

Challenge,

"In the absence of seniors there is pressure and it would be good for the youngsters if we were to win the trophy," said Sharma.

CB series,

"I feel I could have done better and in this regard this series has been a learning experience. I have learnt how to build innings when I walked in to bat against Australia in Melbourne we were five down for 102, needing 160 runs to win.

Ran out his Caption during the important match against Australia,

"Actually, the confusion was caused by the umpire. He kept telling me that I couldn't take start. Anyway that's past. Mahi told me not to worry about it. He also told me that it would be me who would run for him, if required, in future," he said.

How he started his cricket,

"When I started watching cricket, I had this strong gut feeling about wanting to make a mark in the game. So I asked my uncle for Rs 800 (US$20 approximately) to join a summer camp." Sharma's uncle thought he'd be better off sticking to his studies, but budged eventually and gave the boy Rs 200. "That was the beginning of my cricketing career."

During the younger days,

"When I was playing for Under-17 and Under-14 state teams, I used to hear a lot about the history of Mumbai cricket and how proud the players were," he said. "I never knew that Mumbai had won more than 30 times. Later, I realised how serious the Mumbai cricketers of the past were and how much pride they took in giving their best." Sharma learned all about the famous khadoos (literal translation: mean) Mumbai attitude from watching senior players such as Vinod Kambli, Sairaj Bahutule and Wasim Jaffer.

Difficult time in the middle,

For Sharma, it is the "first 15 minutes" that he needs to get past. After that, it's about adaptation. "If you want to be known as a good player, adaptation is key," he said.

Future,

"I can do more than I've done so far," he said. "I haven't shown the batting class inside me yet. You can't say that with one innings I've arrived."

Poor show from Rohit Sharma in CB series 10th match

Rohit Sharma took a good catch to dismiss MJ Clarke during the commenwalth bank series 10 th match. Played at Sydney Cricket ground and ground was full with Indian fans. Austrailia took the early upper hand by hitting good boundaries early on. Good partnership from Hayden and Ponting took them to over 300 total. Ponting was superb and scored a centaury.

Rohit Sharma's turn and throw to remove Hayden with help from Sehwag was his only success part of this match. There was not much else to celebrate as Sreesanth went for 58 from eight overs Sharma gave up 65 in ten and Pathan allowed 73 in nine. Harbhajan and the part-timers Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh ball bit batter, but India have a huge task as they attempt to secure a spot in the finals.

Early on Rohit misjudge a catch of Ponting and of course it was a difficult chance, but it was oblivious he was not expecting a catch at that point. Good learning point for the youngster.

Indian reply took early blow with loss of Tendulkar. Wickets start to lose in and Rohit Sharama didn’t bother to trouble scorers. He nick a straight ball to Gilchrist of the balling of Bracken. His foot movent not there , he was bog down and held in the ground.

Seem up, beautiful ball clear the Rohit Sharama for the rest of the afternoon.

Rohit Sharma deeper Murali out of the park

If you watch this video, where Rohit pick Murali and put him out of the park, you will sure realize that Indian cricket is doing time. He was not scared to come down the track to the best baller in the world cricket. He dance down the track, come close to the ball, foot work was excelent and give Murali something he will never forget. Indians are love that, Austrialns love this too and sri Lankans hate this sceen.

Why Indian Cricket need Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is young. Indian team consists of bunch of old guards, there time is now over. The biggest problem with these seniors is their fielding. We all have seen that a good fielding can change the whole tempo of the game and this was the biggest factor for Indian teams success in twenty20.Tendulkar, Dravid and Ganguly has already shown his intension of retirement from ODI

We have now a young captain M S Dhoni for ODI. Dhoni led the young team remarkably in T20 but when these seniors will be around he will not feel as comfortable as he feels about younger lot. What Dhoni needs to do is to find in young players and polished them. That is where youngsters like Rohit Sharma comes to play.Rohit Sharama is 20 year old Indian cricketer. Rohit is a Stylish right handed middle order batsman and a right armed offbreak bowler.

During the CB ceries Rohit Sharma proves that he is there to stay in coming years of Indian cricket.

What Indian selectors have to do now, Pick these young players when they are in good form like Rohit Sharma, Joginder Sharma, Yusuf Pathan, Manoj Tiwari, S. badrinath and many more in waiting. Throw them against good teams like Australia and Pakistan and let them know what the pressure of big matches is and let them learn to overcome from it.

Hopefully with Dhoni and Rohit Sharma Indian cricket is with the safe hands.

Journy of the Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharama is 20 year old Indian cricketer. He played for Indian under 17,19 teams and then selected to represent the Indian national cricket team. Rohit is a Stylish right handed middle order batsman and a right armed offbreak bowler. He played exceptionally well during the Dedhar Tropy last year and selectors reward him for his consistency by selecting him for tour of Ireland.

Rohit's first game was against Ireland in Belfast, Jun 23,2007. He couldn’t bat during that much because his top order batted out Ireland easily. He played his first 20/20 game against Engalnad Durba, Sep 19,2008, unfortunately he couldn’t bat during this match as well, since his top order, Sachin and core played the game well.

He is a good example of a modern well-rounded cricket citizen. He has an excellent batting technique but is also capable of hitting powerful shots, and he is well-schooled in fielding and running between wickets. He has been tutored properly as a youngster and then provided with an environment that allows him to hone all his skills. The fact that he can now adapt those skills to any length of the game is testament to his cricket education. IPL reward him for big amount of money for his recent success in international cricket.Rohit was auctioned off to the Hyderabad team for USD 750,000, Uthappa was sold to Mumbai for USD 800,000 while the gangling Ishant, the most improved pacer in the country, went under the hammer for a whopping USD 950,000, the fourth-costliest purchase during the day.

In a super game of cricket India beat Australia in CB series. Even though Rohit ran out his captain in the previous game and got bit blame for that, this game he was sharp and well organized. He field brilliantly and instrumental in wining the match.

"We had a long batting line-up and Robin (Uthappa) and Harbhajan (Singh) were still to come. This gave us a lot of confidence when the going was tough," Rohit said after the five-wicket win.

Rohit Sharama currently average 32 in his 10 match of carrier and scored 2 fifties already. Will he be the next big cricketer in Indian? Well we have to wait for that. Hopefully young man will pull off this and stay for a long time.

Rohit Sharma shows signs of maturity

During the recent CB series, Rohit Sharma is playing really well for India. He played a gem of a inning against Sri lanka and superb against Australia as well. His fielding as brought much needed oxygen to Indian cricket team as well.

His batting looks solid and he is confident in the middle. Played all around the ground and knows his limitation and strengths as well.

CB series 4th Match, India vs. Australia, he played exceptionally well scored 39 from 61 balls. He stayed with his captain and make sure India wins a game against world champions. That was classic inning and he showed the world that he is good and he has the right technique to play international cricket.

Rewards are already there for Rohit, IPL is already after well-rounded players like Rohit Sharma to come up the ranks and he is one of the top, already.

Rohit Sharma is young, exciting and arguably the future of Indian cricket.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Gurunath Sharma (Born April 30, 1987, in Bansod, Nagpur, Maharashtra) is an Indian cricketer. Sharma is a right-handed middle-order batsman and occasional right-armed offbreak bowler. Coming through the ranks, having played under-17 and under-19 cricket for India, Sharma impressed in the under-19 junior World Cup in Sri Lanka. He has studied in the Swami Vivekanand International School, Mumbai and is currently a student of Rizvi College, also in Mumbai

The unbeaten 142 in 123 balls for West Zone against North Zone in the Deodhar Trophy in Udaipur in March 2006 brought him further into reckoning. Performances for the Indian A sides in Abu Dhabi and Australia followed leading to him being selected for the 30 member probables list for the Champions Trophy (though he didn't make the final squad) and the Challenger Trophy.

It was no surprise when Sharma made his mark in the recent EurAsia tournament with two half-centuries in three matches, including 62 against Pakistan A, where he batted in the middle order. He'd exuded class at No. 3 in the Under-19 World Cup - barring the final, when the entire Indian line-up was blown away by rampant Pakistan fast bowlers - and displayed the key quality for that position: adaptability. Sharma is equally happy in the role of accumulator or aggressor, depending on the game situation. He is also a more than useful offspinner - a skill he will no doubt be looking to hone so as to have a second string in his bow
